Fluke fishing continues to improve with the ratios of keepers to shorts going up. Friday we had aboard Mike Sr. and Mike Jr., age 6, for a day of fluke fishing. Mike Jr. not only caught the first fluke of his fishing career, but he landed the first and second keepers of his life. Both fish were just over 18". Plenty of more shorts were caught and released. Congratulations Mike Jr. on your fist fluke !! For the first time in 12 seasons of charter fishing, the "Just One More" had a crabbing charter. Yes, you read that correct a CRABBING CHARTER. Bob Able had his family out for a fun time and plenty of crabs. We went up the river and used mostly hand lines, but also box traps. They were catching two at a time on the drop lines. While you waited the short time for another crab to get on your line, you watched the water as the crabs were swimming by and all you had to do was scoop them up! We ended the day with 5 dozen nice crabs which were mostly all number 1 "jimmies". A few large females were caught and a couple with large egg sacks were released to make crabs for next season. Plus many smaller crabs were released to be caught another day. What a fun trip for basically a half day !! Great family fun.
Dates available to charter are: August 10, 12, 17, 18, 24, 26, 29. Full or half days.
THANKYOU.
