Today we had aboard the John Crowley charter from Tom's River, N.J. and the rest of his family from Canada. It was a good day of fluke fishing. In the first minute of the charter the first fluke was landed and it was also the largest of the day. Justin caught a very nice 23" fluke and then continued to catch many more keepers. We had a good pull of fluke the whole day. All the fish were between 19" and 23". We also landed at least 25 short fluke with many just under the regulation mark of 18". Bluefish we also taking our baits and many were released. The fluke fishing right now is in full swing, and the fishing is quite good . Water temp. in the bay was up to 71.3 degrees but the fish on the bottom were still coming up cool to the touch. Now is the time to go for some great tasting flattie fillets!!!!

After a couple of down days, due to inclement weather, a cancellation, and not being booked for a day or two, the "Just One More" was back in action. Today we had aboard the Randy Pollinger charter from Allentown, Pa. We had another full limit of striped bass up to a high of 35". We also released shorts that were very close to being keepers at 27.75". On the way out, we cast to the breaking birds and landed a total of 20 bluefish and released others. They were smaller blues, and the perfect eating size. The cooler was full at the end of the day !!! Congratulations. to Dennis Sr. and Dennis Jr. on their first striped bass landed ever !!! Dennis Jr. really figured out the bite and landed his fair share of the fish!. The stripers are still on the bite. Time to go !

    Days open to charter are : June 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 23, 24, 27[Sunday].

It is time to get out there! Today we had aboard the Nicky DiSarro charter. Striped bass were landed up to a high of 36", but we did not get a full limit on this trip. Trying to be honest and not bull sh-t any one. It is the first slower day of this outstanding season. We kept 6 striped bass to the high mentioned above. Others were missed with good run offs. We also kept some bluefish, and were bit off by others. The water temp. approcahed 70 degrees in Sandy Hook Bay  on the way in, but the fish are still coming up cool to the touch. It is not tooooo warm yet. I believe we will do much better tomorrow, but I have 2 trips, so you will not read about our success till probably Sunday afternoon. The only way you can put stripers on the grill right now is to book a trip with the big bass capt.!!!!!! Hope to hear from you soon. Thankyou.

Yesterday we had aboard the famous Bluefish Bob Donahue. He and his charter limited out with large stripers in just over an hour!  ANOTHER FULL LIMIT  of striped bass, including trophy tags being filled out  aboard the "Just One More" for 4 anglers. We had double headers on multiple times and even a triple. We were throwing back keepers as well as some short bass. The monster bluefish were around the boat all day gorging on rain fish. We caught plenty on our clam baits, but also caught them on topwater plugs!! That action lasted about 4 hours. The stripers were up to a high of 34". The water temperature was up to 65 degrees in Sandy Hook Bay, but that is only on the surface.  The water is still much cooler down below. If you want to catch your striper, now is the time!!

Dates available to charter are: June 7, 8, 13 [Sunday], 15-19.     FISH ON !

The Memorial Day weekend produced plenty of stripers despite all the boat traffic. A 36 lb. striped bass was landed of Friday the 28th.!!  We had out the Fred Foley charter that day. It was Fred's turn to land the largest striper this season so far on the "Just One More". He did not have to wait long, as Fred landed that huge fish in the first five minutes of the trip!! It seemed like he was hooked up as soon as we were anchored. Congratulations Fred!  We limited out on stripers and were throwing others back. 35" fish. On the afternoon trip, we had aboard the Ernie Aponte charter form Interome. As soon as the boat came tight on the anchor, it was non stop action. We limited out for 6 people in one hour! We had doubles on as well as a triple at one time. Throwing stripers back for the rest of the trip. Super action with many anglers catching their first striped bass ever. Saturday we had aboard Mark, retired from the U.S.M.C.. Fishing was a little slower but we managed to land six striped bass to a high of 35" with bluefish mixed in as well. Sunday we had aboard the Mike Kochen charter, and what do you know?? Another full limit of stripers aboard the "Just One More"!! Fish were up to a high of 35" and more bluefish were landed. So as you can see, the fishing is still really good. Water temp. in the bay was over 62 degrees, but that is only on the surface. The baits, sinkers, and fish are still coming up cool, or cold to the touch. This is definately one of the best spring striper runs in a long time. Let's catch some bass together!!

Dates available to charter in early June are: 7, 8, 10, 13, 15, 16. Evenings are wide open, just pick your choice.
